Abstract: Direction finding is a very popular topic and it has two important parts, one is antenna and another is the algorithm. Here in thesis, in first part, starting with theoretical dimensions of a monopole antenna, an optimum monopole antenna has been designed by simulation and then using these practical dimensions of a monopole antenna the optimum value of gap required for an optimum array has been obtained. finally using these results, a precise array of antenna has been designed. In the later part, a wide band direction finding algorithm has been implemented in MATLAB in a noisy channel.
