dc.description.abstract | This thesis focuses on a simple design of a compact monopole antenna for Ultra-wideband (UWB) application where three strips from a rectangular patch has been cut down from desired position to increase its impedance bandwidth. Its operating bandwidth is 7.5 GHz between 3.1 GHz - 10.6 GHz which is below -10 dB. It is implemented on Rogers RT/Duroid 5880 substrate with a dielectric constant of 2.2. The frequency bandwidth is also optimized by changing the position of the feed line and distance between the ground plane and patch. A simple structure of human body sample is also used to test the change in antenna characteristic. | en_US |
